Founded in 1993 under the label GSCGI (Groupement Suisse des Conseils en Gestion Indépendants). HUB+ was one of the first organizations to represent independent asset managers in Switzerland. Active for over three decades, it works for the recognition, training and defense of the profession’s interests, while anticipating regulatory developments in the sector. GSCGI became HUB+ in 2025 following a vote at its Annual General Meeting to give the association a new dynamic and a new ambition.
Development of the group since its foundation in 1993:
- 1993, founded to structure the operations of independent asset managers.
- 2000, creation of OAR-G, a self-regulatory body for MLA supervision.
- 2003, the SRO is detached in order to maintain its freedom of speech and continue its major advocacy role.
- 2009, delegation by FINMA of “Framework Rules” supervision (REP to GSCGI).
- Since 2012, accompanies the evolution of the future LSFin-LEFin laws and actively campaigns for the legal recognition of independent finance professions, with great success.
- 2023, returns to its status of total independence from the supervisory body FINMA and the self-regulatory bodies: OS and OAR.
- 2024, adaptation: organization and Articles of Association, in order to continue to provide effective support (defense and solutions) to its Members in this new environment, where rules and other obligations are now enshrined in the LSFin-LEFin Laws and their various ordinances.
- 2025, GSCGI becomes HUB+.
